Abstract: 

Chelation therapy has been used to remove toxic metals from the body for a long time. Flavonoids such as quercetin (QUR), a well-known protective antioxidant and free radical scavenger, can bind to metal cations and protect our bodies from toxic metals. In the current study, we used UV–Vis, 1HNMR, IR, and fluorescence spectroscopic techniques as well as viscosity measurements to investigate the synthesis, characterization, and interaction between Bi(III)-QUR complex and calf thymus DNA (ctDNA) in physiological buffer. The antioxidant activity of the complex was assessed utilizing DPPH and ABTS free radical scavenging, and ferric reducing potential. After chelation of the Bi(III) cation, the antioxidant potential of QUR was reduced. In the presence of ctDNA, the absorption spectrum of Bi(III)-QUR complex was raised, and the fluorescence intensity of Bi(III)-QUR complex was increased. With the addition of the Bi(III)-QUR complex, the relative viscosity of ctDNA rose. These findings indicate that the Bi(III)-QUR complex interacts with ctDNA in a groove-binding mode. The thermodynamic parameters (ΔH, ΔS, and ΔG) of the Bi(III)-QUR complex with ctDNA, as well as well as association constant, Ka, and number of binding sites (n), were assessed from the fluorescence data, indicating that the binding of Bi(III)-QUR complex to ctDNA was primarily driven by hydrophobic interactions.

Abstract: 

This article begins with an examination of Professor Etienne Gilson's analysis of the statement by St. Thomas Aquinas, "Ens per se, is not the definition of substance, as Avicenna stated." Gilson confessed that he was unable to find the source of this claim in Avicenna, and came to the conclusion that Avicenna did not in fact make any such statement. In order to refute this conclusion, this paper proceeds to present a detailed analysis of the history of the term 'substance', focusing on the Metaphysics of Aristotle. The a third nd most important part of the paper is a close reading of the relevant passages of the works of Avicenna himself, revealing the sought for source of Aquinas's statement.

Abstract: 

In this Research, structural and electronic properties of AgGaX2(X=S, Se, Te) and were studied using full potential linear augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) within the framework of density functional theory using Wien2k code. The lattice constants, bulk modulus (B), and its first derivative (B') were calculated to investigate the structural properties. Total and partial density of states, band structure, and electron density were plotted to investigate the electronic properties of all materials. All compounds were semiconductors with direct bandgap energy in Γ point and the results are found to agree with the experiment. The orbital overlap was explained by using the partial density of states, also electron density shown that AgGaX2(X=S, Se, Te) and CuSbX2(X=S, Se, Te) compounds have covalent bonds.

Abstract: 

کاربرد فراوان بتن در صنعت عمران ضرورت نیاز بررسی تمامی عوامل تاثیرگذار بر روی خصوصیات مکانیکی آن را ایجاب می کند. در این تحقیق هدف بررسی تاثیر ارزش ماسه در بتن می باشد که برای این منظور اقدام به تهیه 8 نوع ماسه با ارزش ماسه مختلف در بازه 42 تا 80 درصد شد که در گام بعد اقدام به تولید 8 نمونه بتن که برای هر نمونه بتن یک آزمونه مکعبی به منظور بررسی مقاومت فشاری تهیه شد. نمونه های مکعبی به مدت 7 روز در آب با دمای 20±2 درجه سانتیگراد عمل آوری و با سرعت بارگذاری 3.35 مگاپاسگال بر ثانیه تست شد که حداکثر افت مقاومت فشاری و اسلامپ ایجاد شده در بتن به ترتیب برابر 38 و 36 درصد نسبت به نمونه اول می باشد. همچنین ارتباط بین مقاومت فشاری و میزان اسلامپ یک رابطه مستقیم بوده به گونه که با کاهش میزان اسلامپ مقاومت فشاری بتن نیز کاهش می یابد.

Abstract: 

Late Cretaceous in Zagros encompasses regional tectonics and caused foreland basin to form in northeast of the Arabian Plate. Salt tectonics is also locally affected this area. One of the time periods that can better picture this tectono-sedimentary evolution is Maastrichtian. In order to investigate this evolution in the Maastrichtian time, a regional cross-section was made inthe Fars outcrops and wells. A sedimentological study and sequence stratigraphy have been accomplished along this transect. Maastrichtian deposits consist of the upper part of the Gurpi and the Tarbur formations in the studied transect. Based onsedimentological investigation, 14microfacies have been identified. This microfacies were deposited in 4microfacies belt including tidal flat, restricted and open lagoon, reef and open marine in a shelf carbonate platform. Based on sequence stratigraphic studies, 3 sedimentary sequences were identified in the studied interval. Correlation along the transect revealed that the Maastrichtian deposits occurred on the forebulge of Zagros foreland basin. It is also concluded that the fore-buldge shows a nearly smooth topography and thus accommodation space is homogeneous. Hence the thickness of the Maastrichtian deposits does not vary so much along this transect. Thickness anomaly in Namak-dehkuyeh occurs as a result of salt structure which decreased accommodation space.

Abstract: 

Selenium (Se) is an essential element for human and livestock health with antioxidant and anticancer effect. Although Se is not an essential element for plant growth, but improve the plant growth. A hydroponic experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of Isfahan University of Technology in winter of 1391. The completely randomized design was arranged. Se in four concentration 0, 2.5, 5 and 10 µM and Nano-Se in0, 1, 4, 8 and 12 mM was added to nutrient solution. The results showed that Se improved stem diameter, fresh weight of shoot, chlorophyll content and phenol.Nano-Se improved root volume, fresh weight of root, relative water content of shoot, internal stomata CO2, and leaf temperature and mesophyll conductance. Se and Nano-Se were effective in 10 and 4 µM, respectively. Root volume increased in 8 µM Nano-Se by 72.4%. Chlorophyll content increasd by 73% in 10 mM Se. N-Se was more effective than Se on mesophyll conductance and increased in 4 mM Nano-Se by 9.9%. Conclusively, Nano-Se and Se in 10 and 4 mM was more effective respectively on most vegetative, antioxidant and photosynthetic activity of tomato.

Abstract: 

In the southeast of Iran (SE Bam), there is a collection of volcanic rocks with andesite, basalt and trachyandesite composition. The textures of these rocks are often porphyritic with microlithic, porphyric cavity, and sometimes glomeroporphyritic, sore throat trachytic. Main minerals include olivine, clinopyroxene, plagioclase and secondary minerals including opaque minerals, Iddingsite, secondary biotite, chlorite and calcite. The analysis of magma textures gives us valuable information about magmatic processes. Micro textures in plagioclase of volcanic rocks in the region are divided into two groups: a) texture-linked to crystalline growth including: sieve texture, oscillatory zoning and degraded surfaces and b) Morphological textures such as glomerular crystals. Sieve texture and zoning in crystal represent processes such as magmatic mixing and abrupt reduction of pressure and, in general, unbalanced conditions in magmatic reservoirs. Based on electron microscope studies, plagioclase of igneous rocks of the region is within the boundaries of labradorite and bytownite.

Abstract: 

Free radicals can be produced during the respiratory oxidation of different cells. These free radicals can damage to various macromolecules as protein, fat, nucleic acids and … are harmful for body. The natural defence system that can prevent the damage of free radicals and nuteralized them, have tittled under the name total antioxidant capacity (TAC). Se is one main antioxidant part in TAC, because it is one main part in structure of some body antioxidant enzymes. Blood se and TAC probably can change by feeding of different selenium supplement diet in late pregnancy and also may transport from maternal blood to its fetus or by clostrum after calving.In this respect we have determined 90 pregnant dairy cattle (in the same condition of age and number of parturient) and feed them in 3 last pregnancy months by different selenium diets. Then measured blood se and TAC levels in them and in 3 days newborn calves after calving.The results were analysed by tukey anova test and the highest level of blood se and TAC was shown in cattle that feed fermented se diet and in their 3 days newborn calves.

Abstract: 

The holy prophets performed miracles as a One of the first and most important principles of the interpretation of the Holy Qur’, an is the issue of the sanctity of the Holy Qur’, an. The meaning of the holiness of the Qur'an is that the Qur'an (both in word and meaning) is from God. And human beings and other creatures, including jinn, angels, etc., have no involvement in its creation. Therefore, this Qur'an is holy, so it is pure and completely true, and unlike the unholy texts, it cannot be criticized or damaged. When it is said that the Holy Qur'an is sacred both in word and meaning, this statement implies three characteristics of the Holy Qur'an: the divinity of the words of the Holy Qur'an, the soundness of the text, and its wisdom. In this article, the discussion of the divinity of the words of the Holy Qur’, an has been examined and an attempt has been made to prove by quoting the verses of the Holy Qur’, an that both the words and meanings of Qur’, an are from God and it is not human but it is divine.
